Active LCD Shutter and Parallax Displays in 3D Technology

Active LCD shutter is probably the 3D technology with the best implementation and people who have harped on how wonderful Avatar is, could actually praise the active LCD shutter technology. However, active LCD shutter means that users need to wear rather bulky glasses and each eye will see images through separate LCD display. Unlike passive polarization, active LCD shutter can show only show one image to one at a time. With active shutter LCD, the displays on the glasses are switched on and off synchronously to alternately block one eye from seeing the image. Due to rapid flashing, our brain will combine these images as it very briefly forgets half of the image at any time. Active LCD shutter is known for its superb quality and users won’t sense any kind of bleeding one a single image to the other. However, active LCD shutter may cause headaches on some people.

For more than a few years, active LCD shutter is the platform of choice for 3D enthusiasts, although the glasses are rather annoying. However we could barely notice the slight convenience as we are immersed in the 3D content. Nvidia has produced lightweight LCD shutter glasses, which can be recharged with USB port and they are also wireless to ensure improved convenience when using them. Older high-end 3D LCD glasses used in cinemas were quite bulky and require cables, but latest implementations are much improved. They are also much more resistant to the usual wear and tear. However, some people are still uncomfortable to this solution and for this reason, we may need to choose other implementations that could provide us with less headaches and more convenience.

Another method of 3D implementation is 3D parallax display and it allows us to enjoy 3D content without using glasses. Although there are many competing technologies in the market, 3D parallax display seems to be quite promising. In this case, the display will show two images automatically and it comes with filters that bounce images to specific directions. We would be able to see the 3D effect when it is viewed from certain angle. Most 3D parallax display can be seen from 4 angles or more, but we would lose the 3D effect when we see from other designated angles. When seen from improper angles, we would only see blurred representations of these two images. 3D parallax is a relatively new technology, but it surely shows some promise. 3D camera is also developed by Fujifilm and we should be eager to see how it will be implemented in the future.

3D cameras will be able to take appropriate images and users should be able to preview them. 3D images can be previewed on the camera also with glass-less 3D display on the back. There are also ideas about using 3D technology for both portable and console gaming systems, but it will take some development to make sure that 3D technology could match the mature, impressive 2D image quality already used by modern games.

5 Efficient ways to Buy Online from Reliable Suppliers

These days when technology is advancing at an incredible pace it is very hard to pinpoint the innovations that were the real game-changers, but the rise of online trading is most definitely one of them. Still, even if it allows you to buy virtually anything from any part of the globe with just few clicks, online buying tends to be somewhat convoluted and unwelcoming, especially compared to traditional buying. So, you have found a reliable supplier, let us see what comes next and how can you make a purchase in the most efficient manner.

PayPal Account

PayPal is a very popular and reliable service that is being used by virtually anyone ranging from any trustful online tool shop to your preferable cosmetics vendor. A great alternative to traditional paper methods, and one of the largest internet payment companies, it allows you to make a purchase even if you do not own a credit card. Just visit PayPal website, create your account (very similar to registering to any other website), uncheck the box when you are asked for a credit card number, and link the PayPal account to your bank account instead, and you will be ready to make the first purchase.

WU Pay

Although this service provided by The Western Union Company is not as far reaching as PayPal, it is supported by some big names like Kmart, Sears, and Swanson. What makes it so good is that, if you already have a Western Union account buying is as easy as it sounds. Just choose WU Pay at the checkout, and you will be emailed a bill you can then pay from your online bank account just as you would pay any utility bill. After Western Union receives your payment you will be notified by email that the process is complete.

Pre-Paid Credit Cards

The thing about pre-paid and gift cards is that not every retailer supports them, and you will have to spend some time to buy them, be it in person or online. What justifies this seemingly convoluted “make a purchase in order to make a purchase” philosophy is that, once you finally get one of those cards, purchasing some item online is as safe and carefree as it gets. Just type the card number at the checkout and that is all.

Outerwall (Formerly known as CoinStar)

Not the best suited for some big purchases, but a great way to lose the change you were stockpiling over the years, and buy yourself something in the process. Just visit the Outerwall website, find the nearest Outerwall machine, pour in all the change that you have spared, choose the type of gift card you want to receive, and you will be ready for buying.

Credit Card

Last but not the least you can easily make an online purchase even with your regular credit card. Be aware, though, that no matter how your supplier may be reliable the data on your card can be breached by some third party, so instead of using the card you receive the salary and keep your savings on, you should visit your bank and make a dedicated credit card for online buying. All you will have to do once you receive it is to type the card number at the checkout, and you are done.

A Guide to Buying Your Ice Machine

An ice machine can be a valuable asset for any office or residential property. Although you certainly want to have one if you run a kitchen or restaurant, many commercial and residential property owners do not think about their advantages beyond the kitchen. In reality, these are the perfect companions when you need to entertain large numbers of people at a special event, run a home bar, or want to improve the quality of your employees’ work day. There are two basic types of ice machines available: machines with manual trays and automatic options. Both choices have specific advantages and disadvantages associated with their use. When on the hunt for an ice machine, you should first take a good look at the type of ice you need, the amount of ice you intend to use, and what you plan to use the ice for during the event.

Ice machines in Australia differ dramatically in price, amount of ice produced, and quality. Those designed to easily fit inside a home are easily found and purchased online and in certain stores, while commercial options are only available online. For commercial options, you need to consider what type of use you need the machine for and your budget for the purchase. Although you may want a wide range of amenities attached to your new machine, it might not be possible within the limits of your price range.

Some ice machines are designed for home use, such as entertaining dinner parties. Portable ice machines offer a number of benefits over making ice in a freezer. These machines can make larger amounts of ice in a short period of time compared to traditional freezers. Such ice machines are also able to make large quantities of ice within a small window of time, helping you to save time and energy. You can simply pour clean water into the machine and turn it on. Ice machines also produce higher a quality of ice, while ice made in a freezer can absorb unpleasant odours from food kept near the tray. You may even be able to pick the size of the ice produced, depending on the type of machine you choose.

Commercial Machines

Commercial ice machines come in a number of sizes, and you could choose from dozens to find your ideal fit. These large appliances are designed to make many kilograms of ice within a very short span of time. Commercial ice machines are also a large investment, making it so that only commercial companies can afford them. However, you also get more ice and space for the price, allowing you to feed and entertain large quantities of people with minimal effort. If you run a religious facility, restaurant, or any other type of property designed to serve large numbers of people, commercial ice machines are your best option to keep everyone happy. Over time, you should be able to return your investment via money saved on water and electricity. Plus, you save time in the long run, which directly converts into money saved.
